Ed Westwick, Jessica Serfaty Looked For Engagement Rings Prior To Rape Allegation
Ed Westwick and his girlfriend, Jessica Serfaty, were already planning to get married weeks before news of his sexual assault broke.
Westwick is in hot water at the moment after Kristina Cohen came forward with allegations that he raped her three years ago. However, prior to this scandal, the "Gossip Girl" alum was already getting ready to pop the big question to Serfaty. "Ed and his girlfriend, Jessica, were looking at engagement rings two weeks ago," an insider told Us Weekly.
Despite the actor's scandal, Serfaty has assured her boyfriend that she is not leaving him. In fact, she defended him against Cohen's claim via social media. "I know you, I know the truth. Such sadness in my heart. I love your kind gentle soul. Bless," she wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Westwick has denied Cohen's rape allegations, insisting that he has never even met her. "I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape," the "Wicked City" star wrote on Twitter.
His statement comes after Cohen took to Facebook on Monday to share the details of her alleged sexual assault. According to her, the "Romeo and Juliet" star forced himself on her in his residence in the Hollywood Hills.
"I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body," she recalled of the alleged incident. "I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to [have sex with] me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me."
Two witnesses have already come forward to support Cohen's claims against Westwick, her longtime friend and former child actor, Blaise Godbe Lipman, and her sister, Katalina Colgate. Both confessed that Cohen told them about the incident right after it happened.
"She came over to my home the following morning and told me everything," Lipman told Deadline. "She was in a state of shock. It was without a doubt a rape."
"Very shortly after it happened, she told me that she was raped. She told me and my other sister. I was furious," Colgate told the same publication.
