Actor Eddie Cibrian, 36 filed for divorce from his wife Brandi Glanville amid a scandal implying he and country singer LeAnn Rimes are now going public with their romance.

The CSI:Miami actor filed divorce papers on Monday, his wife told E!News. He cited irreconcilable differences and seeks shared custody of their sons: Mason 6, and Jake 2.

The affair rumors between Cibrian and Rimes who co-starred in the film Northern lights began in March when US Weekly made public a steamy video of the two in a date.

Cibrian's wife has blamed Rimes for breaking their marriage, according to U.S. Weekly. She has also said her husband is not the person she knew, People Magazine reported.

Rimes, 26, is separated from husband Dean Sheremet to whom she was married for seven years.
