Einstein's Manuscript To Be Published Online: Correspondence Includes Social Issues, Scientific Papers, Letters To Mistresses
Albert Einstein was considered one of the greatest minds to have ever lived and now the world will get to see into that mind.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is slowly uploading high resolution photos of Einstein's manuscripts online. The manuscripts cover topics such as social issues and scientific papers. The university has already published over 80,000 items in the Einstein collection, but only half of his manuscripts appear online.
The world will also get a peek into Einstein's personal life as the manuscripts will include letters to Einstein's mother, wedding announcements and correspondence with mistresses.
Once all the papers are scanned they will be translated into English and made available for people and scholars around the world.
This is going to be not only something to satisfy the curiosity of the curious, Hanoch Gutfreund, whose committee oversees the archive, said. But it also will be a great education and research tool for academics.
