'Elden Ring': Where To Find The Comet Azur Sorcery

Comet Azur lets “Elden Ring” players fire a big wave of Glintstone magic that can be devastating against large, slow targets. It’s also one of the legendary sorceries that’s needed to unlock one of the game’s achievements.

With the right build, players can harness the full power of this death beam and completely melt anything unfortunate enough to be standing in its way. However, actually getting the spell may take a while.

Comet Azur can be obtained by interacting with Primeval Sorcerer Azur, a seemingly inanimate NPC tucked away in a corner of the Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir. Players won’t have to kill Azur or purchase the spell off of him as he will simply give it away for free.

Mt. Gelmir will become accessible once players reach the Altus Plateau either by activating the Grand Lift of Dectus or by going through the Ruin-Strewn Precipice past the ravine in Liurnia.

From the Seethewater River Site of Grace past Wyndham in Atlus Plateau, keep heading north until the demihuman-infested Hermit Village comes into view. Ride past the street and past all of the enemies to the edge of the village, where a Demihuman Queen field boss lies in wait.

Jump past the boss and tag the Site of Grace. Primeval Sorcerer Azur will be right there by the cliff wall.

An alternate way to “teleport” to Mt. Gelmir is by dying to an Abductor Virgin at the bottom of the Raya Lucaria Academy, which can be reached in the area with the churning platforms by the waterfall. The abductor will send the player straight to Volcano Manor, though getting out of there may be more trouble than it’s worth.

Comet Azur deals tremendous damage as long as enemies stay within its beam. It can be cast as long as players have FP, and the Flask of Wondrous Physick can let players maintain the beam for much longer if they have the unlimited FP tear slotted in.

The spell requires 60 INT, three Memory Slots and an initial FP cost of 40. It will continue to drain FP until players let go of the cast button.
