‘Elementary’ Season 5 Spoilers: Is Morland Holmes Returning For The New Installment Of The CBS Series?
John Noble is not returning as a series regular in Season 5 of “Elementary,” but fans might still see his character Morland Holmes show up at some point in the new installment.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Rob Doherty said that he and his fellow executive producers want to check on Morland in the upcoming season to give viewers an update on how he’s doing as the new leader of Moriarty’s (Natalie Dormer) group. Doherty, however, said at the time of the interview that there “aren’t immediate plans for it.”
“It’s something we want to touch on over the course of the season,” Doherty said. “We’ll find the right time to if not catch up with Morland himself, then his exploits.”
Even though series star Lucy Liu admitted in a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly that she had no idea how Morland is going to come back into the show, she did say that she enjoyed working with Noble last season.
“I love John Noble so much. What an incredible talent,” said Liu, who plays Joan Watson on the CBS series. “He really added such a layer to the show, you know? Just because the family dimension is always so interesting to watch.”
