Elisabeth Hasselbeck confronted Meghan McCain about her coronavirus statement.

The “View” co-host slammed Hasselbeck for making making a “dangerous” statement about praying away the COVID-19 amid the pandemic. And now, the retired TV personality has clapped back at McCain on Instagram.

“Golly. Getting kids to bed and apparently @meghanmccain is tossing out some anger my way,” Hasselbeck wrote. “Meghan- i am going to call you and handle this in the best socially distanced direct manner possible - but hey girl - We are all just doing our best, and I don’t know why you are taking an opportunity to be so aggressive toward me during such a stressful time.”

In her video, Hasselbeck stressed that her first response in whatever situation is to pray. Also, she noted that they take social distancing and washing hands pretty seriously with her kids.

Hasselbeck listed five points in her lengthy post. She said that she has always liked McCain and she reminded her that all of them are just doing their best so they should not judge one another.

“Get your quotes right,” she wrote. “I never said I had the power to pray covid away. The day at the view I came to visit y’all because our hometown had been slammed with a tornado and lives were lost and a school needed help and I was trying to get word out.”

She stressed that her statement was made even before New York started social distancing and quarantining started.

“I’m praying today that you can lay off throwing the social darts at me. I am not sure why you decided to do this. I’m a momma on my knees in prayer like many others - let’s get back in the same side and be #inthistogether,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, McCain addressed the feud between her and former co-host Abby Huntsman. She didn’t deny that they got into a fight, but they were able to work it out.

The two have been friends for over 10 years and remain good pals at present.According to Ramin Setoodeh in his book “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of The View,” Hunstman left because she had issues with the toxicity of the show.
