Elise Testone Eliminated From 'American Idol': Who's Favored To Win Season 11 Now?
Elise Testone was eliminated from American Idol last night and now that the competition is down to the final five, who is favored to win Season 11 of the show?
According to bovada.lv, Phillip Phillips is the odds-on favorite to win American Idol, with the website giving him 4-to-5 odds of doing so.
Testone, 28, was voted off American Idol Thursday night and she said the elimination was not surprising to her.
I feel like my brain is wired to accept everything that happens, so as soon as they said my name...I accepted it immediately, Elise Testone told US Weekly after Thursday's elimination show.
On her way out, Testone criticized American Idol's judging process.
I've had a longer lifetime of work [than some other contestants] just because of how much I've done, so I've learned so much. Some things [the judges] say don't line up with what I feel I've learned on my own, she said. I don't always feel like [their feedback] was helpful. I'm not saying I'm the best. I don't think for the most part it always made sense.
The South Carolina native sang I Want It All from Queens and Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix. Both performances were rife with criticism from Jimmy Iovine and Steven Tyler.
Phillips in followed by teen sensation Jessica Sanchez at 5-to-2 odds. Joshua Ledet has a 5-to-1 chance of winning, according to bovada.lv, while Skylar Laine has a 7-to-1 shot of being the next American Idol.
Hollie Cavanagh is the longest of longshots, with bovada.lv giving her 40 to 1 odds of winning.
