Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi Divorce Rumors: Ex-Model Allegedly 'Jealous' Of Gorillas

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi divorce reports have been making rounds online for quite some time already. The couple has been, allegedly, fighting over many things that threatened their marriage. Now, a recent report is claiming that Ellen and Portia and fighting again over the host’s ape obsession.

Globe reported that Portia is “fed up” with Ellen’s fascination with gorillas. The Australian-American model, reportedly, “had enough” and is “sick of hearing” Ellen talking about them over and over again. It even suggested that Portia is jealous that her wife is giving the apes more attention lately.

“Ellen already sponsors a large number of apes, but now she’s talking about adopting a baby gorilla orphan — if she can get through the red tape. Portia is putting her foot down, saying they have enough animals to care for and their backyard isn’t big enough,” a source told the publication. “Portia says if Ellen makes her watch Gorillas in the Mist one more time, she’s going to puke,” it added.

Though it is true the Ellen DeGeneres is really fond of gorillas, it is untruthful to claim Portia de Rossi hates the fact that her partner has been very passionate about her cause. In fact, the pair hosted their “Gorillapalooza” event and helped raise funds to support gorilla conservation on Oct. 12. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” host even shared about it on social media. “Out with my favorite date for my favorite cause. #Gorillapalooza @TheEllenFund,” Ellen wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of her and Portia.

At the time, Portia even revealed she tried to transform the venue into an African angle to make it appear that the gorillas were there. “I just want people to care,” she told People when asked about her and Ellen’s cause. “I guess that is all we want, for people to care, and realize what it means for humanity to have these magnificent creatures alive and well,” Portia went on.

This is not the first time that Globe created a baseless claim about Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. In December 2018, the tabloid reported that Ellen went under the knife to prevent Portia from dumping her. It even cited a phony source who, allegedly, said that Ellen underwent a full face-lift, facial fillers, a nose job, a neck lift, forehead lift, and eyelid surgery, among others.

“Over time, Ellen has spent at least $1 million on her face alone. She’s very much aware of the age difference between her and Portia. She’ll do anything to turn back the hands of time – and money is no object!” the unnamed tipster claimed. However, as per usual, Globe's fictitious claim was proven to be untrue after Portia de Rossi revealed to Us Weekly that she and Ellen DeGeneres did not consider divorcing at all.
