Elon Musk Announces Release Timeline For Tesla's Improved Self-Driving Feature
Elon Musk has announced that Tesla has been working on software that’ll improve its self-driving technology and expects to release the new version within the next two to three weeks.
Many Tesla owners tweeted at Musk asking him when the beta expansion would launch, and he shared a few replies, including one where he shared it would happen in "about a month."

I think we’re maybe a month or two away from wide beta. But these things are hard to predict accurately.

The work we had to do for pure vision driving was needed for FSD, so much more progress has been made than it would seem.
The surprising news came shortly after the electric car company previously told California's Department of Motor Vehicles that the full self-driving system likely wouldn't be available until the end of 2021. According to Reuters, they shared that information just last week.
Musk also announced via Twitter that the “Smart Summon” feature would begin rolling out in Europe by the end of the year. This feature, which is already available in the United States, allows owners to call for their vehicle in a parking lot via a phone app, provided it is within 200 feet and is within their line of sight.
