Elon Musk’s Tesla Roadster Trunk Space ‘Little Bigger’ Than Standard In Supercar Segment
Elon Musk’s Tesla Roadster is well on its way to becoming a classic. It’s superb design coupled by zero to 60 mph acceleration on an electric-charged battery, no less, makes it one of the most innovative supercars to date.
But it doesn’t just stop there. The Roadster is a beast that’s capable of running 620 miles on a full battery and can reach top speeds of 250 mph.
Now the Roadster is more than specs and performance. Creature comforts such as passenger and trunk space also impress. Unlike other sports cars that limit passengers to a maximum of two, the Roadster can carry up to four people comfortably. Trunk space also won’t be a problem as the Tesla Roadster offers a significantly bigger space as well.
During the electric vehicle manufacturer’s recently held Investor Autonomy Day, Tesla enthusiasts finally got a good glimpse of the Roadster’s back seats and door system.
According to Electrek, unlike the previous reveal back in 2017, fans were finally able to get closer to the supercar and even open its doors and check out space inside.
The trunk space apparently looks a little bigger than what’s expected to be the standard under the supercar segment. This pretty much proves Tesla CEO Musk’s 2017 claims that the new Roadster will be roomier and can be used for road trips.
Photos of the trunk space which was released via a Reddit thread showed that the new Tesla Roadster can fit as much as three suitcases. The back row can also be folded down and accommodate more luggage should there only be two passengers traveling.
Now, this extra seating is available only for the base model of the new Roadster. Tesla could also be offering a “SpaceX Package.” This unique offering from the electric vehicle brand includes cold air thrusters that will be powered via a system of air pumps to make the car go even faster. This option would take up most of the space at the back of the Roadster.
Aside from this, the new sports car could also have a fingerprint scanner to open its doors as part of its security system. And with a good year to go before Tesla launches the vehicle commercially, who knows what other innovations will be offered for this classy car.
