Netflix's "Emily in Paris" is returning with a new season, which will be filled with more drama, love triangles and fashion, according to star Lily Collins.
The streaming platform renewed the hit romance-comedy series for Seasons 3 and 4 earlier this year, and the third installment is set to drop on Dec. 21, Us Weekly reported.
Collins, who plays the titular role of Emily Cooper in the series, previously teased what fans can expect from the forthcoming season.
"More love triangles, more drama, more laughs, more fashion, more locations, more France!" the 33-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight in October, adding that with the fourth season renewal, there would be more room for "a lot of cliffhangers."
"Emily in Paris" Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger that left viewers wondering whether the marketing executive would be staying in Paris or returning to Chicago. She was also seen balancing two jobs and being torn between two love interests, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), with whom she has had ongoing romantic tension since the first season, and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), who captured her heart in the second season.
Aside from all the drama, fans are also looking forward to the looks the series would be serving in the upcoming season. Costume designer Marylin Fitoussi previously revealed her big plans for Season 3.
"My dream for Season 3 would be to recycle costumes [from] Season 1," Fitoussi told Elle in December last year. "I don't know if we can do that, but I'm dreaming to bring some of Lily's most iconic outfits to the recycling workshop and see what they can do and recut and make."
A sneak peek of the season that Netflix released in September teased some of the "tres chic" styles the characters would be flaunting as well as Emily's new hairstyle, which features bangs.
Meanwhile, Emily's new beau Alfie is expected to have more appearances this season as Laviscount became a series regular on the show. The official announcement was made in April during an "Emily in Paris" panel at the PaleyFest in Dolby Theater, Los Angeles, Deadline reported.
Ahead of the announcement, the "Scream Queens" alum described his experience working on the show and shared that he was looking forward to returning for Season 3.
"I had the best year of my life working on the show and working with these people. So, if I'm back, I'm back, but as long as I serve the storyline and serve Emily's story and do a good job, that's what matters," Laviscount told Harper's Bazaar in December 2021.
