KEY POINTS

- The model claimed men tend to feel emasculated with an independent partner
Emily Ratajkowski has opened up about her dating life following her short-lived romance with comedian Pete Davidson.
The 31-year-old model spilled the beans in her new "High Low" podcast episode this week as she tackled what it's like dating men who want an independent partner in life.
According to Ratajkowski, she's over dating men who "truly think they want" an independent partner but "don't know how to handle" strong women.
"They're like, 'You're special. You've done it.' [But] they slowly get emasculated, and they don't know what to do with those feelings, and they resent you, and then they start to tear you down," she explained.
The "Gone Girl" actress called the dynamic between this type of men and independent women "f—ked up and unfair" because the latter would always end up "back to square one."
Ratajkowski's statements came about a week after Page Six broke the news that she and the "Saturday Night Live" alum had called it quits. However, it wasn't clear if she was throwing some shade at her ex-boyfriend, 29, in her latest podcast episode.
Ratajkowski and Davidson made headlines in November after they were spotted holding hands while on a date in Brooklyn, New York. The two were also together on Davidson's birthday on Nov. 16, sparking romance rumors.
However, before the year 2022 ended, the pair also decided to quietly terminate their relationship. An unnamed source told Page Six that "their fling has moved into the friends zone."
Another unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight that the model-actress and the stand-up comedian "were never serious" about their relationship to begin with.
"They've both been living their lives and not putting any pressure on anything," the insider claimed.
Ratajkowksi has since been spotted kissing artist Jack Greer outside of her apartment in the Big Apple on Dec. 21, according to People. As for the "King of Staten Island" star, he is rumored to be dating his "Bodies Bodies Bodies" co-star Chase Sui Wonders.
Meanwhile, the "My Body" author opted to ring in 2023 in the Cayman Islands. She shared a photo dump from her holiday getaway on Tuesday. The snaps showed her rocking different swimsuits while enjoying her time at the tropical paradise.
