Eminem stunned fans when he made a surprise appearance in the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live."
Pete Davidson performed a Christmas spoof of the Grammy-winning rapper's 2000 song "Stan" on "SNL" this weekend and got some help from Eminem himself. The parody starred Davidson as Stu, an obsessive Santa Clause fan.
The sketch shows Stu writing letters to Santa (played by the host Jason Bateman), urging him to give him a PlayStation 5 for Christmas.
"I tried to buy one at Walmart/Ran around the shop mall like Paul Blart/Tried to find one for sale/But the thing is they’re all out/Yo, I even went to a Gamestop/But then I was like, ‘Oh wait stop’/Santa Claus can make one, the man got his own workshop," Davidson sings.
The parody music video also featured a couple of lines from the original song.
It also featured Kate McKinnon as Dido and Bowen Yang as Sir Elton John. Dido was present in the original song's video, while Eminem performed the song with John at the 43rd Grammy Awards.
The video ends with Davidson's character getting frustrated that his letters are not being answered by Santa.
"Dear Mr. Holly Jolly son of a b—h/I hope you crash your sleigh and end up face down in a ditch/I guess the great Saint Nick can’t even track down a PS5/Hey Santa, I drank a fifth of eggnog, dare me to drive?" Davidson sings.
Eminem makes an appearance at the end while opening a present from Santa. He finds out that he has received the gift that Davidson's Stu has been asking for.
"To Shady, from Santa. That's crazy. A PS5? I didn't even ask for this! guess Shady must have been a good boy this year. Sorry, Stu. You f—ed up," Eminem said.
Released in 2000, "Stan" was the third single from the rapper's third studio album, "The Marshall Mathers LP." The song was no. 1 in 12 countries, including Australia, Europe, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and the U.K.
