Emma Stone Moves On From Andrew Garfield? Actress Has New Beau
Emma Stone has moved on from her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, despite reports that they had plans to reconcile.
According to People, the “Easy A” actress is now dating “Saturday Night Live” writer and segment director, Dave McCary. Page Six noted that the rumored couple first met when Stone hosted “SNL” last year. In June, Stone accompanied McCary to the screening of “Brigsby Bear.”
But in August, reports swirled that Stone and Garfield are working hard to rekindle their romance. At that time, Stone watched her ex-boyfriend performance in London. E! News claimed that two actors may be giving love another chance, but this isn’t the case.
Stone and Garfield first met in 2012 during the filming of “The Amazing Spider-Man.” They were together for three years before announcing in 2015 that they have decided to go their separate ways. Prior to their making their decision public, Stone attended the 2015 Oscars without Garfield as her escort.
Months after their split, Stone admitted to Teen Vogue that she will loves Garfield very much. However, this may only be because they had history together and have become good friends.
Following their split, a source told US Weekly that even though Stone and Garfield still loved each other, things were no longer working out. One of the reasons for their split was Garfield’s busy schedule. The actor traveled to Taiwan to film “Silence.”
But before their official split, the two also had a brief time out. However, Stone explained why she didn’t directly discuss this brief break from her boyfriend. “I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason – because it’s all so speculative and baseless. I understand the interest in it completely, because I’ve had it, too. But it’s so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don’t talk about it,” she told Wall Street Journal.
As of late, Stone and McCary have not also confirmed or denied the status of their relationship.
