Emma Watson Tattoo On GQ Cover: Are The Star's Tattoos Real Or Fake? [PHOTOS]
Emma Watson’s barely-there wardrobe on the cover of GQ Magazine isn’t the only thing garnering attention for the “Harry Potter” actress, fans are now wondering if the multiple, scattered star tattoos on Watson’s lower stomach are real.
According to reports, Watson’s body art is not permanent and only was included in the shoot to represent the 22-year-old’s risqué “Bling Ring” character.
Watson told the magazine that part of playing the role of “Nicki”, a Hollywood-based teen who was charged with robbing celebrity homes, was wearing clothes out of her comfort zone.
“I had to dive into something really different. This has been a really big departure for me; it's a really big character. That's so exciting for me because it meant I was really acting,” said Watson, who went on to call her character, who is based on "Pretty Wild" reality star Alexis Neiers, vain” and “materialistic.”
This isn’t the first time fans of the British beauty wondered if the actress was rocking a tattoo. In 2012, while filming “The Bling Ring” in Venice Beach, Calif., Watson was spotted with a large tattoo on her lower back. The temporary body art was only part of her on-set attire, she was also seen wearing a bra-tap, cropped leather jacket, booty shorts and heels.
During pre-produciton for the crime drama, Watson tweeted a photograph of herself in full costume, showing off other temporary tattoos; a small one on her left forearm, one on her upper right arms and one on her hip.
“Twitterers meet Nicki, Nicki meets twitters,” Watson said.
Her latest film, “The Bling Ring,” will be released in theaters on June 14.
In the meantime, Watson can be seen next at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on April 14 at 9 p.m. ET. The actress will be presented with the trailblazer award for her work in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and the "Harry Potter" franchise.
