‘Empire’ Season 2 Spoilers: Adam Busch Joins Cast, Revealed To Play Obsessive Artist Chase One
Adam Busch is trading in paper pushing for photography. That’s right, the “Men at Work” alum, who played Neal, the head of Ad Sales in the 2012 TBS comedy, has been cast to appear as a photographer in Season 2 of the hit Fox series “Empire.”
Deadline reported the exciting news, explaining that fans of the 37-year-old New York native should anticipate to see Busch appear in several episodes of the sophomore season, which is set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 23. So, who will the actor portray on the critically acclaimed series? Well, it was revealed that Busch will be bringing the character Chase One to life when “Empire” returns this fall.
Chase One has been described as a “sexy, gifted, avant-garde gay artist,” who ends up becoming infatuated with his male subject after a photo shoot. And considering “Empire” has it’s fair share of men worthy of being swooned over, it’s tough so say who exactly Chase will become smitten with come Season 2.
Could Chase possibly fall head-over-heels for Jamal (Jussie Smollett), the sweet, sensitive and smoking hot middle child of the Lyon family? Or perhaps Hakeem (Bryshere Gray), Jamal’s ab-tastic little brother, who has a set of pipes to match his flawless stomach?
Busch, who starred in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” along with Danny Strong, the executive producer of “Empire,” will join the star-studded cast of the musical drama. The Season 2 cast currently consists of A-listers like Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei, “The Wire” star Andre Royo, Destiny Child crooner Kelly Rowland, comedian Chris Rock, chart-topper Alicia Keys, “Fly Away” singer Lenny Kravitz, pop sensation Becky G and “CSI: Miami” actor Adam Rodriguez.
Although not every red carpet star's character description has been released, TVLine reported that Tomei will portray a “lesbian venture capitalist” who will find herself submerged in all the Lyon family drama. Royo will reportedly take on the role of Lucious’s (Terrence Howard) corrupt lawyer.
“Empire” will air its Season 2 premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 23, on Fox.
