He promises he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty to help.
Lucious and Cookie talk about Vernon as they grab his ashes from the funeral home. Cookie asks if he killed Vernon and Lucious tells her he didn’t. Cookie asks how they can keep safe and Lucious says that’s what happens when he’s not protecting them. This leaves Cookie to believe that Lucious was behind what happened to Tiana.
Andre goes looking Lucious and finds Thirsty (Andre Royo) in his office. Lucious is off, but Thirsty is working on a few things as he’s been given Vernon’s old role in the company. He wants Andre to steal Lyon Dynasty’s masters and Andre tells him never to ask him to disrespect his mother and has Thirsty leave Lucious’ office.

He also admits that he almost killed himself in the studio, but then he found God. Lucious tells Andre there is no God and he needs to man up because being baptized won’t wipe away his sins.
Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) enters the studio and struggles at first until Lucious reminds her of her father. Freda then starts to feel her music and Lucious begins to have a change of heart about not going to Andre’s baptism after he’s moved by Freda.
Andre and Cookie share a moment before his baptism and she says she’s proud of him. Jamal decides to go too in a moment that shows despite all the drama between them they’re still there for each other at the end of the day because they’re family. Cookie doesn’t think Lucious will show because if he walks in the whole place might catch fire.
Lucious changes his mind and goes to Andre’s baptism. Cookie rips Lucious when he sits next to her for trying to spy on her and steal her masters. When Andre starts to get baptized, Lucious is reminded of a bad childhood memory when his mother was dunking him in a bathtub. Lucious gets up and leaves, as Andre watches him walk out.
The episode comes to a shocking close when Hakeem is running through a park when he’s suddenly grabbed by the thugs that have been harassing Cookie and Lyon Dynasty. They tell him they weren’t messing around, as they throw a black bag over his head and throw him in the back of a van.
