‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 17 Synopsis, Promo Video And Photos Released

“Empire” Season 3 may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the drama will be in short supply. On episode 17, “Toil and Trouble, Part 1,” Cookie will hatch a plan to bring Giuliana down. However, it won’t be easy.

“In the Season 3 finale, when Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is banned from Leviticus Vegas, she pulls together a team of her own allies to seek revenge on Giuliana (Nia Long) and steal her secret weapon,” the synopsis teases.

In the “Empire” Season 3, episode 17 promo, Lucious (Terrence Howard) can be seen telling Cookie that she can not enter Leviticus Vegas. Although it is unclear why she isn’t allowed on the premises, Cookie has every intention of making an appearance at the casino.

“If we don’t end Giuliana, there will be nothing left,” Cookie can be seen yelling at Hakeem (Bryshere Gray).

The Lyon matriarch can later be seen at Leviticus Las Vegas with her sisters Carol (Tasha Smith) and Candace (Vivica A. Fox). From the looks of the “Toil and Trouble, Part 1” promo, Cookie must be desperate to take down Giuliana because she rarely likes to deal with her sisters and always seems annoyed whenever they are around.

There is no doubt that the ladies will definitely have their usual moment of disagreement with one another. In the promo, Candance can be seen asking Cookie about the plan. “So we’re going to sneak inside a casino and crack a safe?”

“Who’s gonna crack the safe, stupid?” Cookie sarcastically replies to her sister.

However, it looks like the sisters manage to get the safe open. In the promo for the Fox series, Carol is seen sneaking into what looks to be Giuliana’s hotel room. She then cracks the safe. Yet, before the contents of what is inside are revealed, the promo cuts to another scene.

Will Carol safely get away with Giuliana’s secret weapon or will she face some obstacles before she can reunite with her sisters?

Cookie can later be seen talking to Charlotte Frost (Eva Longoria), the head of the Las Vegas Gaming Commission, who assures her that the information she has brought to her attention is “enough to put Giuliana away for good.” Will Cookie be able to use Charlotte to get revenge against Giuliana or will her plan backfire?

“Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) is encouraged to put his album on hold, so as not to compete with Lucious’ ‘Inferno,’” the synopsis for the Fox series says. Although Jamal is not featured in the promo, it’s no secret that Lucious feels threatened when it comes to going up against his son’s music.

Although Lucious has managed to get some of the best artists on his “Inferno” project, Jamal’s fans have been waiting for him to put out an album for a long time. The young singer, who was shot and then later sent off to rehab seems to be back with a vengeance and is ready to put out new music. Even though he is encouraged to put his album on hold, will Jamal listen or will he start another war with his father?

“Empire” Season 3, episode 17 airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
