End Of ‘Forza Horizon’ Announced As Release Of ‘Forza Horizon 3’ Full Version Becomes Imminent
Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games have officially announced the end for the original “Forza Horizon” for the Xbox 360 console. The game is unfortunately entering the “End of Life” status next month, just weeks after “Forza Horizon 3” is officially launched for players to purchase.
Community manager Brian Ekberg made the official announcement of “Forza Horizon’s” status in a blog post published on the Forza Motorsport website on Friday. “While we’re reveling in the euphoria of launching a brand-new Forza game, I do have an important update regarding the original “Forza Horizon. On October 20, the original “Forza Horizon” for Xbox 360 will reach “End of Life” status,” Ekberg wrote.
The “End of Life” status simply means that the “Forza Horizon” game will not be available for purchase starting the said date. The related DLC for the original game is also affected by this decision. However, IGN pointed out that players who will purchase the game before Oct. 20 can have the title and all of its downloadable content.
The announcement may not come as a surprise to some, however, since “Forza Horizon” became a free-to-download game for Xbox Live Gold subscribers early this month.
Ahead of the termination of the first installment from the market, players should focus their eyes on “Forza Horzion 3,” which is slated for release on Tuesday, Sept. 27, for the Xbox One and Microsoft’s Windows 10 PC.
The upcoming game is not only highly anticipated by fans, it is also well-received by reviewers from different companies. For example, IGN calls the new game as a “masterclass in open-world racing and bigger and better than its excellent predecessor across the board.” On the other hand, Dual Shockers calls “Forza Horizon 3” as an unstoppable force of adventure and fun.”
Even though the full version of “Forza Horizon 3” is releasing just a few days away, early access for Ultimate Edition owners already started this Friday. Early access providse players with enough time to take on the Australian adventure of the game, according to the official Windows blog.
Aside from early access, Ultimate Edition players will get to receive a Car Pass, VIP membership and cars, as well as the Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack. The special pack is found to give players the opportunity to use any of the 10 hottest race cars off of the track and onto the open road.
