End of Legacy: No More Ezio After Assassin?s Creed ? Revelations? [Videos]

French computer and video game publisher-developer Ubisoft has announced a new short film Assassin’s Creed Embers which is the final chapter in an epic that has spanned more than four decades.

Ubisoft, the leading French games developer has announced that the new computer-generated animation short film will be shipped when Assassin’s Creed Revelations hits stores on Nov.15.

The Embers will expand on the final chapter of the life of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the master assassin, and will finally bring an end to a legacy.

The short film has been developed by UbiWorkshop and will be available with the Assassin’s Creed Revelations Animus Edition and Collector's Edition. The film is also available for digital download on Xbox LIVE.

“Initially launched in 2007, the first three Assassin’s Creed games have sold more than 28 million units worldwide, and the franchise is now established as one of the best-selling series on next generation consoles,” said a report on the game’s official website. “Recognized for having some of the richest, most engrossing storytelling in the industry, Assassin’s Creed has transcended video games, branching out into other entertainment experiences including comic books, Facebook games, novels, short films and more.”

The Collector's Edition will arrive with an art-book featuring 50 pages of illustrations and concept art related to the game, the game’s original soundtrack, the Embers movie and a variety of in-game content where the gamer can explore the prison of famous Vlad the Impaler, the curse of Constantinople, who inspired the myth of Count Dracula.

The player can also hunt for the hanging cell of the infamous leader to retrieve his personal blade which is a deadly near-range dagger capable of dispatching any foe. Two new multiplayer playable characters, The Crusader and the Ottoman Jester, have also been introduced.

The Animus Edition comes with an in-depth encyclopedia that has comprehensive entries on the major characters, events and other important aspects of the Assassin’s Creed universe, the Embers movie, Vlad the Impaler and the multiplayer characters.

The game also gives the player capacity upgrades for the hidden gun bullets, bombs & crossbow arrows to provide a decisive advantage in battles, according to a report in the game’s official website.

“When I was a young man, I had liberty but I did not see it, I had time but I did not know it, I had love but I did not feel it,” says Ezio when the Embers video starts.

In Assassin’s Creed – Revelations Ezio will walk in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altaïr on a journey of discovery and revelation that will take him to Constantinople, where a growing army of Templars threaten to destabilize the region.

The player can now become deadlier than ever with a new arsenal of weapons and abilities such as free-running and hook blade combat. The multiplayer has been enhanced and the player will uncover the mysteries of Desmond’s past and gain an insight into the future.
