'Enter The Gungeon': Final DLC 'Farewell To Arms' To Be Released Today
Dodge Roll just released the latest and last “Enter the Gungeon” Farewell to Arms DLC. The new update features a new area, items, and two new playable characters. Here’s what we know about the latest update.
As seen in the trailer, the “Farewell To Arms” DLC includes some new weapons and passive pickups that help the player survive in the Gungeon. So far, the trailer shows a new items that allows the players to use the power of the bosses. So far, the Beholster’s guns and summoning Gatling Gull to fight with you are among these boss-themed items.
Meanwhile, the new guns are still as zany and fitting to Gungeon’s theme which includes actual armaments with some novelty but functional weapons. In the trailer, new laser cannons and even a lute shooting out notes is available to use once unlocked in the game.
So far, a new area featuring a chopper boss fight is also shown in the game. Players will have to discover how to find this new area to know where to fight this boss. Previously, the optional Resourceful Rat’s Lair boss fight showed a Metal Gear Solid-like boss fight where the players had to take down a large robot and have a fistfight with its pilot. The chopper fight on a rooftop is also oddly similar to another Metal Gear Solid-boss fight and may give out a hint who the obscured pilot could be.
Meanwhile, the two new characters are The Paradox and The Gunslinger. The Paradox seems to be a humanoid character of obscure, purple colors and only shows a visage of a character. Meanwhile, the Gunslinger shows a Wild West poncho-wearing cowboy which is oddly similar to the Bullet Hell boss, Lich.
As for new content purchasable with Hegemony credits, there is one new item from Trorc and a whole new set of items coming from Doug. The new Trorc item is the Magazine Rack which is an active item that leaves a field of infinite ammo that players need to stay in to make it work. Meanwhile, one of Doug’s new items includes the “3rd Party Controller” gun which allows players to indirectly control minor enemies as these foes also follow the player’s movement and shooting inputs. Other new guns and synergies are also available for these freshly introduced items.
As this is the last “Enter The Gungeon” update, Dodge Roll games is now moving on to develop a new title that they’ve yet to discuss.
