Erin Andrews Rolls Eyes At Noah Galloway's Proposal To Jamie Boyd: She Explains Why
“Dancing with the Stars” co-host Erin Andrews explained her eye roll after she seemed unimpressed when contestant Noah Galloway proposed to girlfriend Jamie Boyd on live television Monday night. While most viewers thought she was being rude, she said she just didn’t want to cry.
The co-host tweeted a message to Us Weekly after the magazine asked her for clarification. “@usweekly uhhhhh it's called an oh great I'm going to bawl on camera… ugly cry face alert,” Andrews, 37, wrote.
After the show, Andrews posted a photo of Galloway down on one knee as he presented a ring to Boyd. “What a moment...sorry for the ugly cry face debut...love u Noah and Jamie,” she captioned the image. The post was liked nearly 13,000 times by her 477,000 followers.
Though Andrews’ expression was deemed impolite by some, her Instagram followers supported her. “Can't believe people are saying you looked annoyed. You were clearly getting emotional. Anything for a story these days,” one person commented. “I love your cry face. You are so real and a rockin host lady,” another said.
Galloway, 33, presented Boyd with a two-carat, princess-cut diamond on an 18-karat white gold band from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills. She said “yes” to his proposal.
He decided on the very public proposal since he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Boyd after she surprised him on the first show of the season. "That was a moment when I knew I wanted to propose to her on the show. I always thought if I made it to the finale I would propose, but I realized the competition is so stiff I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by, in case this is the end of the road for me on the show,” he told People. "Jamie has been so supportive throughout my entire journey. I have been wanting to propose for a while, and when she surprised me in the Skybox, it was such a shock, if I had the ring with me I would have done it right then and there.”
