“Desperate Housewives” fans would be happy to know that one of the show’s lead stars, Eva Longoria, is open to doing a reboot of the show. The actress has admitted that she misses working on the set of the series. Unfortunately, she also said that it’s somehow impossible for a revival to happen.

Longoria recently sat down for an interview with NewBeauty to talk about her pregnancy. However, the actress did not forget to gush about the fact that she so badly wants to do a reboot of her long-running show “Desperate Housewives.” “I love that show. I miss it every single day,” the actress, who plays Gabrielle Solis in the series, said.

The 42-year-old then went on to say that she misses just about everything about the ABC series. “I miss being Gaby. I miss being on the set. I miss everything about it.” Unfortunately, Longoria also admitted that it’s possible for her wish to do a revival to come true now.

“Our creator [Marc Cherry] has said many times he wouldn’t bring it back,” Longoria said before noting that her co-stars may not be just as invested as her with the idea of a reboot. “We’re all so busy. Felicity [Huffman] is always off doing some Emmy award-winning show. I’m busy with my projects. I don’t know it it will ever happen, but I’m all for the idea.”

“Desperate Housewives” was a hit series that aired on ABC from 2004 until 2012. It starred Longoria, Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross as four women who lived lives that are anything but idyllic. Throughout its run, the show has bagged numerous nominations and awards including a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series in 2005 and 2006.

In May, Longoria also expressed her interest in reprising her role as Gaby for the show. “I would jump at the chance to play Gaby Solis again. I miss her! I miss her skin and I miss being in her skin,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “The minute Cherry says, ‘We’re going back,’ I would be the first one to sign up. I love that show, and I love the magic that we had.”

Meanwhile, Longoria, who just confirmed that she and husband José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón are expecting their first child together, recently set up two dramas at Fox: an untitled L.A. Women drama and a father-daughter police drama, according to Deadline. More details about the projects will be shared soon.
