Eva Mendes Pregnant By Ryan Gosling? Actress Denies Baby Bump Rumors After Allegedly Telling TSA About Pregnancy
Rumor has it that Eva Mendes is a mom-to-be.
Eva Mendes has sparked pregnancy rumors this week after refusing to cooperate in a routine, pre-flight security scan at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Saturday. While photos of the 39-year-old show no signs of a baby bump, sources at the scene claims the film star denied the security procedure, telling Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers she was allegedly “pregnant.”
So does that mean Mendes boyfriend of two years, fellow actor Ryan Gosling is going to be a first-time dad? Not exactly. Following the pregnancy buzz, a rep for Mendes confirmed to E! News Monday that the actress is not with child. “[Eva] has never gone through the scanners at the airport; she has always elected to be hand-checked instead,” said the rep. According to the site, a separate source has also added confirmation that Mendes never discussed a pregnancy with airport workers during her recent trip.
Despite rumors of a possible Mendes-Gosling baby, the couple have reportedly not been photographed together in months and have also recently been the subject of break up rumors. While neither Gosling, 33, or Mendes have addressed their alleged split (a rep for the couple previously denied any trouble in paradise), a source revealed to Us Weekly in November that the couple was on the rocks due to the “Hitch” star’s jealousy causing a rift in their relationship.
“She can be moody and insecure. She sees a text from a mystery number and assume he’s talking to other girls,” said an insider, adding that Mendes has been noticeably silent when it comes to talking about the “Drive” film star. “She shuts down anyone who brings up Ryan. It’s clear something is wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised if they split for good soon,” said the source.
Mendes and Gosling first met on the set of the Derek Cianfrance crime drama “The Place Beyond the Pines” in 2011. The duo made their romance public in September 2011 after photographers captured the pair holding hands and kissing while enjoying a day at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.
Mendes can be seen next in the thriller “How to Catch a Monster” alongside “Mad Men” star Christian Hendricks and Saoirse Ronan of “The Lovely Bones.” Gosling is currently in post-production on an untitled Terrence Malick musical drama alongside Michael Fassbander (“Inglorious Bastards”), Christian Bale (“American Hustle”) and Cate Blanchett (“Blue Jasmine”).
