Evan Peters’ ‘American Horror Story’ Characters Are Baby Making Machines
Evan Peters is a baby making machine! Or at least his “American Horror Story” characters are.
Season 4, “Freak Show,” ended on a bit of a happy note Wednesday. Although a majority of the characters were killed off in the first 20 minutes, everyone seemed to get a (twisted) fairytale ending. After making it in Hollywood, a bored and unhappy Elsa (Jessica Lange) was finally reunited with her monsters after a “suicide” call to the ghost of Edward Mordrake (Wes Bentley).Three-breasted woman Desiree (Angela Bassett) got the doting husband and children she always wanted, and Dot and Bette (Sarah Paulson) won over Jimmy (Evan Peters) after narrowly escaping Dandy (Finn Wittrock). In the final moments, the cameras revealed that Dot and Jimmy was a couple and that the twins were pregnant with his child.
A big question left on the minds of “American Horror Story” fans was how Lobster Boy’s relationship with the conjoined twins would work out; however viewers couldn’t help but fixate on a connection between seasons in the FX miniseries – Evan Peters’ characters have impregnated four women (or five if you count Bette and Dot separately) in three out of the four seasons.
In Season 1, Peters portrayed Tate Langdon, the son of Jessica Lange’s Constance Langdon. Tate was a love interest of Violet Harmon (Taissa Farmiga) but extremely twisted. The big reveal of the season was that Tate had killed his classmates in a school shooting and was later shot dead by the SWAT team in his home. Because no one “stayed dead” in the house, Tate was able to walk among the living … and have sex with Violet’s mom, Vivien (Connie Britton), while wearing a masked leather suit. The hookup resulted in a baby who developed Tate’s murderous genes.
In Season 2, “Asylum,” Peters’ character, Kit Walker, impregnated not one, but two women – his wife, Alma (Britne Oldford) and his Briarcliff asylum hookup, Grace (Lizzie Brocheré). Both women were abducted by aliens and returned with children. Grace gave birth to a boy named Thomas, while Alma and Kit welcomed a girl named Julia. The two women and Kit lived together with their children until Alma snapped and killed Grace with a hatchet. Alma was institutionalized, and Kit raised the children alone until he remarried.
No characters were impregnated by Evan Peters’ Season 3 “Coven” character, Kyle Spencer. Kyle was sexually abused by his mother, and was involved in a love triangle between Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) and Madison (Emma Roberts) after dying and coming back to life as a sort of “Frankenstein” monster. Ultimately Kyle dodged a bullet since Zoe possessed “black widow” powers.
As mentioned earlier, Peters’ latest role in “American Horror Story: Freak Show” resulted in another baby. Could the offspring of Tate, Kit and Jimmy somehow be connected? Or are “American Horror Story” creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk simply hinting that Evan Peters should be passing on his good genes and fabulous acting chops?
