Evelyn Lozada & Jennifer Williams Fight On Monday's Basketball Wives
The much-anticipated fight between Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams on Basketball Wives finally aired on Monday, and it was a bit...disappointing.
Jennifer Williams was slapped by Nia Crooks on the April 16th episode of the VH1 show about the wives of famous ballers, and Jennifer Williams finally filed a civil complaint against her assailant, alleging assault and battery. She claims that Nia Crooks, Evelyn Lozada's personal assistant, was negligent, reckless, and careless when she slapped Jenn across the face during a fight on January 21.
Someone needs to put a number on this b*tch and let her race around the track, Williams snarled about Crooks, because she's acting like an animal. The episode recounted an altercation that took place in a VIP suite at the Gulfstream Park racetrack in Florida, where the ladies (if you can call them that) were watching an equine race.
As Jennifer and Evelyn were being separated by Tami Roman and members of the show's crew, Jennifer said that she wouldn't be pressing charges against attacker Nia Crooks because she didn't own much – an implicit dig at her financial status.
So of course after you completely disrespect me by putting your hands on me, my mouth is going to get reckless, Jennifer wrote in her blog. I am not happy for the things I said to her but I was caught off guard and left in a vulnerable state.
But according to Us Magazine, Jennifer Williams is seeking unspecified monetary and punitive damages from Crooks, and her lawyer also filed a criminal complaint in a Florida court.
Violence used against any woman is wrong, Jennifer Williams told Us. I chose to use the justice system to fight back, she said. If I can have a positive effect for women fighting back with civil litigation, it serves an important purpose.
Jennifer continued on her blog, For the record, I have changed. I am striving to be an indepedent woman and I am building a future for myself. I have zero time or tolerance for BS.
She also spoke of the show, saying, Fame has never been a weakness of mine, but by watching this show I can't say the same for all the ladies. Ouch! I just hope everyone can recognize what is really important in this life, because Basketball Wives will not always be a hot thing... Then what???
...a spinoff, maybe?
