“Even Stevens” star Christy Carlson Romano has admitted to feeling jealous of her co-star Shia LaBeouf’s Hollywood success.

In a new video titled “Why I Don’t Talk to Shia LaBeouf,” which she uploaded on her own YouTube channel, Romano revealed why she was “salty” toward her former co-star and how she really felt when LeBeouf snubbed her during his Emmy speech.

Romano said she and Labeouf, who played siblings Louis and Ren on the hit Disney Channel show from 2000 to 2003, had a “sibling rivalry” behind the scenes and were not really close on set.

“We had a little bit of animosity,” she said. “I always wanted him to really appreciate what I gave to him.”

The actress also revealed how she truly felt when the “Honey Boy” star ignored her after he won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Series almost two decades ago.

“He was on the podium. I was sitting there with the rest of our team, and he thanked like everybody at the table. But he didn’t thank me,” Romano recalled.

“I was hurt at the time because I felt like since day one, it was him and me. It was, like, our show. But because it was so life or death or him, it was his show and I was just like around because I was a girl,” she continued.

Romano said after “Even Stevens” wrapped up, she and LaBeouf went from seeing each other every day to not seeing each other at all for years. She admitted it became “really frustrating” for her to see LaBeouf’s rise to Hollywood fame, saying she could not bring herself to watch any of his movies, including “Transformers,” “The Peanut Butter Falcon” and “Pieces of a Woman.”

“I was a bit salty,” she said, adding that she felt her former co-star got luckier because he had a better agent and manager than she had.

“So I kind of felt a little jilted by the whole situation. Here he is, making a big old splash in Hollywood. And here I am. I chose to go to college,” she said further.

Despite her ill feelings toward LaBeouf growing up, Romano said her feelings have already mellowed out over time. In fact, she said she still feels their connection as former child stars, no matter how many years have passed since they acted together on screen.

“I guarantee if I saw him walking on the street, there would be a bond there that is undeniable,” she concluded.
