It’s been a little over two months since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement and fans flooded social media with their excitement. It appears that Kate Middleton is right there with everyone else and thinks it’s wonderful that the two will be married this May, making Markle her sister-in-law.

When the Duchess of Cambridge was asked by someone in an Essex crowd on Wednesday whether or not she was looking forward to attending Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming nuptials, she revealed that she is indeed excited.

“Yes and now we have two with Eugenie’s, it’s very exciting,” the Duchess of Cambridge said, according to Mark Stewart, a royal photographer.

With first Markle’s engagement news and, more recently, the announcement of Princess Eugenie’s upcoming wedding, Middleton has a lot of new events on her calendar to await. Unable to contain her excitement, this wasn’t the first time she spoke about Markle’s spring wedding.

“William and I are absolutely thrilled,” Middleton said at the Foundling Museum on Nov. 28. “It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”

The day prior, she released a joint statement with her husband Prince William via Kensington Palace, sharing their combined elation over the news of the wedding.

“We are very excited for Harry and Meghan,” the statement read. “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”

Markle made it known, in her first interview with Prince Harry as an engaged couple, that the kind thoughts are mutual. She shared that the Duchess of Cambridge has “been absolutely amazing.” The two spent time over a “handful of teas and meetings,” Prince Harry explained in the same broadcast.

The double dates came about after “William was longing to meet her [Markle] and so was Catherine,” Prince Harry revealed.

The royal went on to share that the four of them were able to get in a few meet-ups early on after the engagement announcement and that “Catherine has been absolutely...amazing, as has William.”

He called them “fantastic support,” and it’s clear by Middleton’s thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding that she is very supporting of their engagement.
