  • "Apex Legends" is gearing up for its 10th season, Emergence
  • The new season adds one legend, a new weapon, extra arena maps and more
  • The update will also include a slew of balance and quality-of-life changes to the game

Respawn Entertainment is gearing up for the 10th season of “Apex Legends,” dubbed Emergence, which is set to introduce another big content drop with plenty of meta-shaking additions and changes that can drastically affect how the game plays out.

Much like in the previous season, players can expect more than just a handful of new stuff to play around with. The devs have not yet released the official patch notes, but they’ve been feeding the community with nuggets of information for the past couple of weeks. Here's all of the upcoming content that has been confirmed so far, according to Dexerto.

New Champion: Seer

Seer is a recon legend who specializes in finding targets and gathering information.

His abilities allow him to spot and track nearby enemies while also revealing their current health levels, which can be crucial in determining whether or not an enemy is worth pushing. Seer’s ultimate creates a large area that detects all enemies that are firing or moving quickly, giving his team a tactical advantage.

New Weapon: Rampage LMG

Not much is known about this new machine gun other than it’s designed by Rampart and that it can be charged like the Sentinel but with thermite grenades instead of shield batteries. The Rampage LMG will be the third gun in its class upon release.

World’s Edge Map Update

World’s Edge is getting the same treatment that Olympus did back at the beginning of Season 9.

A number of areas around the map are getting reworked, with many of them featuring more lava than ever before. The changes won’t be as massive as the ones in Olympus, but they should still be enough to offer a fresh experience for all players.

Ranked Arenas and New Arena Maps

Arenas mode is finally getting a ranked mode and a bunch of new maps along with it. Ranked Arenas will have no splits, unlike in the vanilla battle royale mode, and it will have mechanics in place that will punish leavers while protecting said leavers’ teammates.

The new Arena maps will feature three existing areas from the battle royale maps: the Hillside of King’s Canyon, the Dome from World’s Edge and Oasis Towers from Olympus.
