Kohl's (KSS) has overhauled its rewards program, making sweeping changes to how customers earn rewards, redeem rewards, and save on merchandise.

Customers that enroll in Kohl’s Rewards will now earn 5% Kohl’s Cash on all purchases every day. This is in addition to personalized deals, perks, and a special birthday gift that is also provided under the new rewards program.

The program, which was announced and goes into effect on Tuesday, eliminates the current Yes2You Rewards, giving way to a simpler rewards plan. Under Kohl’s Yes2You program, shoppers earned 1 point for every $1 spent in-store or online. For every 100 points, shoppers would earn $5 to spend on the merchandise of their choosing.

Members of the Yes2You Rewards program will be automatically be enrolled as Kohl’s Rewards members, and all points earned through the former rewards program will be converted to Kohl’s Cash.

Kohl’s Rewards earned will be printed on shopping receipts to allow customers to see where they stand with their rewards balance. Digital reminders will also be sent to customers to keep them informed of the Kohl’s Cash they currently have to redeem.

In addition, all Kohl’s Rewards will be synced across all channels to make it easier to spend when shopping in-store or online. Customers will also continue to earn Kohl’s Cash through special promotion periods.

“We will maximize value for our Kohl’s customers nationwide with the launch of Kohl’s Rewards by rewarding them with more Kohl’s Cash every day,” Greg Revelle, Kohl’s chief marketing office, said in a statement.

“Kohl’s has always been synonymous with value – and over the last decade we’ve built one of retail’s leading loyalty programs, a critical element in delivering an outstanding experience for our customers. Following a successful pilot that resonated so well with our customers, we are excited about this next evolution of loyalty at Kohl’s. It’s unlike any other program, benefitting every rewards member – whether they are just getting to know us or shopped with us for years.”
