Mia Khalifa has never stopped loving her home country, Lebanon, even if the latter has disowned her and banned her from setting foot there again.

The ex-porn star recently sat for an interview with Mouin Ali Jaber and Medea Azouri in the "Sarde (After Dinner)" podcast. In their conversation, they discussed her effort in helping the Lebanese people after the twin blast in Beirut in August. Jaber also asked Khalifa if she hesitated in helping the people there and taking her stand against the government due to the way she was treated before.

"Absolutely, not," Khalifa responded.

"I think the tumultuousness of the relationship has been one-sided. I have never stopped loving Lebanon. I've never stopped identifying as Lebanese."

She added that if she could visit the country for the summers every year, she would do it. Although she has been banned from visiting the country, Khalifa insisted that being a Lebanese is something that can't be taken away from her.

"No one can ever take that away from me. I was born there, I was raised there. It's my culture, it's my heritage, it's my lineage. I'm passing it on to my children there isn't a soul in the world that can stop me from doing that.”

Khalifa wants to visit her home country with her husband, so she can show him her roots. However, her fears have been holding her back. She doesn't feel it's safe to go there because she was verbally banned.

Last month, Khalifa immediately responded to the massive blast in Beirut. In one tweet, she wrote, “My heart is always with you.” Khalifa has not visited her home country for several years already due to her short stint in the porn industry, which is against its religious and conservative nature. But she never said anything ill against Lebanon.

In her previous tweets, Khalifa called Lebanon “the country I love, but doesn’t really love me back.” She has also never stopped promoting and praising it.

“I’ve been banned from my home country but I’ll never stop telling everyone who will listen how it’s the most beautiful, delicious, and heart warming place in the world," the ex-porn star wrote.
