  • Paige VanZant relishes her pro-wrestling stint with AEW
  • VanZant will compete again under Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship later this year
  • VanZant feels she has what it takes to become one of the biggest stars in pro-wrestling

Paige VanZant is best known to be that gorgeous face in the cage, but the 28-year-old mixed martial artist has been into other things.

Of course, that includes dipping her hands in the pro-wrestling scene, particularly strutting her wares in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

VanZant made her in-ring debut when she appeared at the recently-concluded AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event.

The show took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and “12 Gauge” put on a credible performance as she saw action alongside Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky.

Together, they beat the team of Frankie Kazarian, Sammy Guevarra and Tay Conti in a mixed trio match.

After performing at the said extravaganza, VanZant spoke to The Schmo about the experience.

With her impressive showing, the Oregon native feels that she has what it takes to be the next big thing in the sport.

“I’m feeling great. I went out there, we got the win, I feel like I put on an impressive performance,” VanZant said. “I showed everybody [that I’m] meant to be a pro wrestler too. I never give myself a perfect grade. There’s always room for improvement [and] I’m only going to get better. I just started training pro-wrestling but you got to see how quickly I picked up pro-wrestling moves and I showed all the girls in the division they got somebody to look out for now.”

Looking ahead, VanZant is set to buckle down and engage in an unscripted fight this July.

VanZant will return to headline a card for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in London, but as of this writing, her opponent has yet to be announced.

The former UFC fighter has already fought twice in the promotion, facing Britain Hart and Rachel Ostovich in a losing effort.

VanZant expressed her plans to possibly make a return to MMA as she touched on possibly joining Bellator.
