Tariffs on U.S. goods and services exports to Mexico are nearly non-existent due to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Mexico is geographically close to the U.S. Many Mexicans are familiar with U.S. products, services and brands.

Mexico is the third largest trading partner and the second largest export market for the U.S. Last year, trade between the two countries averaged more than $1 billion per day.

Even Mexican goods exported to the U.S. contain 64 percent U.S. contents, Michael C. Camuñez, an official with the U.S. International Trade Administration, claimed in a recent posting.
