Snowmageddon isn’t over for Coloradans as the massive snowstorm moves into Sunday after an already long weekend of below-freezing temperatures.

A Winter Storm Warning is currently in effect throughout Colorado that’ll stay in effect until around 6:00 a.m. Monday. The Denver area has already seen around 2 feet of snow. Heavier amounts of snow are possible near Boulder and Fort Collins, according to a northeastern Colorado winter storm warning issued Sunday.

There could be an additional 12-24 inches in the city until Monday morning, according to Denver's CBS affiliate KCNC.

Those north of Denver are looking at an additional 15-30 inches and those in the mountain areas can expect anywhere from 2-4 feet.

The storm hasn’t only affected locals, but it has also affected more than 2,000 flights coming into Denver over the weekend, the Hill reported. Travel on the ground has become difficult due to the amount of snowfall.

"A significant late-season winter storm near the Four Corners region will track slowly east/northeast across southeast Colorado late tonight and Sunday. This track will bring significant snowfall to much of northeast and north-central Colorado, and likely result in difficult if not impossible travel through Sunday and Sunday night," said the National Weather Service.

Officials have called for residents to stay indoors during the storm.
