Exxon Mobil CEO Gets $16.7 Million Pay Package
Exxon Mobil Corp. Chairman CEO Rex Tillerson received a $16.7 million compensation package for 2007, according to a securities filing.
The salary represents a 28.6 percent raise from the previous year. Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil earned $40.61 billion in profit in 2007, breaking a U.S. record.
A breakdown of his compensation includes a $1.75 million base salary, and $3.36 million bonus. The rest comes from stocks worth about $16.1 million when they were given on November 28.
Exxon Mobil is the largest U.S. company. Its market value is $479 billion based on Thursday's closing share price.
