‘Eyewitness’ Stars Tyler Young, James Paxton Reveal Their Favorite Scenes In Season 1, Episode 3 ‘Bella, Bella, Bella’
Season 1, episode 3 of “Eyewitness” was filled with a variety of extraordinary scenes that made fans fall in love with the show even more. There were subtle and heartwarming ones, and there were also moments that were just shocking and totally unexpected. Series actors Tyler Young and James Paxton both took to Twitter to reveal their favorite scenes in the episode, entitled “Bella, Bella, Bella.”
Young revealed that the lake scene between his character Philip and his foster dad Gabe (Gil Bellows) is one of his favorite scenes in the episode. “He’s like the second dad I never knew I needed,” Young tweeted of Bellows. “Mad love.”
In the scene, Gabe shared how he realized that Helen (Julianne Nicholson) was the woman destined for him after his first wife left him.
“You just know, son,” Gabe told Philip when the teenager asked him how he knew that Helen was the one he’s waiting for in his life. “It’s a pain … a good pain right here in your belly.”
“Have you ever felt that pain before?” Gabe asked his foster child. Philip nodded, confirming that he’s already been in love.
The scene became a little bit more touching when Philip learned that Gabe and Helen found “the perfect rehab center” for his biological mom Anne (Carlyn Burchell).
“Why are you guys doing all this?” Philip asked.
“That’s what families do,” Gabe replied.
Series creator Adi Hasak praised Young and Bellows’ portrayal of their characters in the scene. “So moved by @ItsTylerYoung and @realgilbellows performances in this scene. #Eyewitness #bestcastever,” Hasak wrote on Twitter.
For Paxton’s part, the actor — who plays Lukas on the series — revealed that he has two favorite scenes in the episode. “My favorite scene in [episode] 3 is a tie between Bella [Katie E.Douglas] and Ryan [Warren Christie] and the #Philkas [Philip and Lukas] scene outside the club. #Eyewitness,” he tweeted.
Bella and Ryan only had a couple of scenes together in the episode. The first one was their reunion just outside the salon she paid a visit, and the other one was the steamy indoor scene in Ryan’s house. The scene between Philip and Lukas outside the club, on the other hand, was a series highlight for every Philkas shipper, as it was the first time Lukas kissed Philip in public.
