Facebook CEO Zuckerberg kills live animals for food
The 27 year old Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg offered an insight into his diet and general practice in preparing his meals, saying he only eats meat that he butchers and kills by his own hands.
After Zuckerberg posted on his Facebook page that he had just killed a pig and goat, there has been a growing focus on the young CEO's general practice in his diet and practice in preparing his meals.
This year, my personal challenge is around being thankful for the food I have to eat...I think many people forget that a living being has to die for you to eat meat... I've basically become a vegetarian since the only meat I'm eating is from animals I've killed myself... I'm eating a lot healthier foods and I've learned a lot about sustainable farming and raising of animals, Fortune quoted Zuckerberg as saying.
As part of his yearly challenge, Zuckerberg will attempt to uphold a conscious reminder of where meat in daily meals come from. A goat, pig, chicken, and lobster have been reported as the latest kills by the hands of Zuckerberg.
The carcass would then be sent to a professional butcher for cleaning and preparation.
Zuckerberg's instructor Jesse Cool, a butcher at the Flea Street Café in Silicon Valley, showed the Facebook CEO on proper techniques to kill animals using a knife.
The billionaire said his next step will be hunting i.e. he plans to shoot his next meal.
