The world is almost getting obsessed with perfection and a lot of women, girls and even men are opting for cosmetic surgeries to enhance their facial features and look more perfect.

Till a decade ago, it used to be only actors and actresses and mostly people in the showbiz who used to go under the knife, but with every passing year, the number of people opting to go for cosmetic surgeries is increasing rapidly.

Though going under the knife may seem worth it for some time, because of the desired changes it brings about in a person, yet there is also a huge risk factor attached to these surgeries in terms of the dangers involved and the consequences one might have to go through.

French actress Emmanuelle Béart, who showed off her glossy pout for over a decade, recently admitted that her lips are surgically enhanced and that she regretted it.

The 47-year-old actress is campaigning to raise awareness about consequences of cosmetic procedures and also wants to warn anyone who is considering the same.

I had my mouth done when I was 27. It was a botched job, she told Le Monde.

Béart, known as one of the most beautiful women in the world, has reached a stage where her face cannot be repaired anymore.

It is a grave act in which you don't necessarily foresee all the consequences. Just the idea of an injection these days devastates me. So I don't know how I will get through these stages [of middle and old age), she added.
