Tuesday nights are great for anyone who loves to laugh. Three new comedies are set to premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 30, and are bound to have viewers ending their night with a smile.

“Selfie” will premiere at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. The half hour comedy is a retelling of “My Fair Lady” and “Pygmalion” -- except with a modern twist. Eliza (Karen Gillan) is a social media celebrity, but she doesn’t have any actual friends. She enlists her company’s marketing guru Henry (John Cho) to help her rebrand herself. If audiences can get past the title, “Selfie” might turn out to be a new hit comedy.

“Manhattan Love Story” premieres at 8:30 p.m. EDT on ABC. This is a more traditional romantic comedy than its lead in, “Selfie.” “Manhattan Love Story” follows Dana (Analeigh Tipton) and Peter’s (Jake McDorman) relationship. Their first blind date is awful, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end for them. Though Dana ran out of their date crying, Jake will try to prove that he isn’t a jerk. The show also lets audiences hear the characters’ inner monologues. They’ll be able to tell when Jake is being genuine and when he is actually just staring at a girl’s breasts. It’s not a perfect romance, but it’s definitely funny.

If you prefer your comedies to be a little quirkier, try “Happyland” premiering on MTV at 11 p.m. EDT. Happyland is an amusement park where plenty of teenagers work. Lucy (Bianca Santos) desperately wants to leave the theme park. She is the daughter of Happyland’s princess Elena (Camille Guaty), who is young enough to pretend that Lucy is her sister when she is hitting on guys. Escaping her mother’s shadow might be put on the back burner when Lucy meets the new owner’s son Ian (Shane Harper). The two become romantically involved, but they might not be able to continue their relationship if they turn out to be siblings, according to Deadline.
