Famous Burger Chain Opens Up New Locations, Line Stretches For 14 Hours
Famed California hamburger chain In-N-Out Burger opened two news location Saturday in Colorado, and the wait was very, very long. People lined up since early Friday morning in Aurora and Northern Colorado Springs.
The Aurora Police Department initially estimated a 12-hour wait but later increased the time to 14 hours.
In-N-Out, which has gained attention for its animal-style burgers, plans to open at least nine restaurants statewide, Denver Fox affiliate KDVR reports.
In-N-Out Burger locations will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. local time and until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The restaurant reportedly closed its doors around a half hour after its scheduled closing time, according to Aurora police.
“FINAL UPDATE: The last car that will be served tonight has been ‘marked’ and is estimated they will be served around 2:00 a.m. We anticipate continued traffic impacts in the coming days so please use alternate routes, maybe you’ll find another great local eatery to support,” the police department tweeted.
There are over 350 In-N-Out locations. They are spread throughout just seven Southwest states. The company was founded in 1948.
The long wait in Colorado prompted a lot of attention. Waiting customers shared photos and videos on Twitter of the line and how the opening was affecting the locals.
