“Stitchers” fans, rejoice! The show is coming back for a third season.

The news was announced by the show’s stars Emma Ishta (Kirsten) and Kyle Harris (Cameron) during a Facebook Live Q&A. The two said the sci-fi show will return with 10 episodes.

Freeform’s Karey Burke, executive vice president for programming and development, also spoke about the renewal, saying: “‘Stitchers’ passionate fan base has been vocal about wanting to see more of this show, and we listened. ‘Stitchers’ has proven itself a consistently strong performer, and we’re proud of the fact that it celebrates #smartgirls everywhere.”

The show’s fans are indeed passionate about it. Prior to the announcement, a petition for the show’s renewal was set up and participated in by fans. The petition surpassed its goal to get 5,000 signatures by 205%.

The series also fared really well ratings-wise, according to Deadline. The show is reportedly Freeform’s second best-rating series in the 18-49 demographic, following “Shadowhunters.” It also reportedly comes in third when it comes to multi-platform series.

Fans are ecstatic to hear about the news and have taken to Twitter to share their joy. Below are some of the reactions.

The show follows the story of Kirsten, who works at a secret government organization where people "stitch" their minds to recently deceased people in order to solve their murders and obtain other important information.

A premiere date for “Stitchers” Season 3 has yet to be announced.
