Alison Sudol, known for TV roles in "Transparent" and Dig," will make her feature film debut in the movie version of J.K. Rowling's “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Sudol will play Queenie, the younger sister of Tina, who will be played by Katherine Waterston.

According to Variety, Queenie will meet the protagonist, Newt Scamander, when he goes to New York City in search of magical creatures. Scamander is a magizoologist who studies magical creatures in the fantasy world created by Rowling.

Another major role that has yet to be cast is that of Jacob. Josh Gad and John Krasinski reportedly met with the studio executives to audition for the part. Warner Bros. will reportedly make a decision about the casting in the next few days and make an announcement.

The report notes that Sudol and Waterston recently auditioned for roles in “Fantastic Beasts” along with a few other women. According to Entertainment Weekly, Waterston’s character will play a “pivotal role” in the adventures of Scamander in New York.

Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production at Warner Bros., said Waterston “is a rising star” who also appeared in the studio’s 2014 film “Inherent Vice.” He said the studio was “thrilled” to welcome her back in one of their “most anticipated titles for 2016.” Waterston is the daughter of Sam Waterston, who starred on NBC's "Law & Order" for many years.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is slated to be released Nov. 18, 2016. The movie will be directed by David Yates, who directed four of the eight “Harry Potter” movies. The main plot of the movie will be based around 70 years before Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) entered Hogwarts. The production of the movie is yet to begin.
