‘Fantastic Four’: Doctor Doom Shows His Power In New Poster
A new poster via Comicbook of Doctor Doom from the upcoming film “Fantastic Four” has been released online. Designed by iconic comic artist Bryan Hitch the poster shows Doctor Doom creating green electric waves from his hands. He can be seen wearing a metallic armor and a cape and has green eyes. He is standing in a barren land.
Toby Kebbell is playing Doctor Doom in “Fantastic Four." His version of Doctor Doom is different from the comic book. He plays an anti-social programmer where as in the Marvel comics the character is a brilliant inventor.
“He’s a computer technician, a computer scientist. There were rumors he was a hacker or something, but no. Victor Von Doom is who we hope he will be,” said Kebbell about his character to Superhero Hype.
The origins of the character have been kept same as the comic book. “He’s still from the same place, his mother is still a gypsy and done her deals, his father still perished from exposure looking after me. He’s angry. He’s an angry dude. But now he’s in Baxter. He’s bright and he’s trying to make people proud,” added Kebbell.
Doctor Doom’s alter ego in the film will be Victor Von Doom and he will be shown as the adopted son of Dr. Franklin Storm. He will be a rival of Reed Richards (Miles Teller). Meanwhile, speaking about his preparation for the character, Kebbell told Comicbook that he has worked on the voice of the character. He will also be seen wearing two super suits in the film.
“Fantastic Four” opens in the theaters today. Josh Trank has directed it. It concerns a group of friends who get superpowers after getting teleported to an alternate universe. The film also stars Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Reg E. Cathey, and Tim Blake Nelson
