Farrah Abraham has come under fire after posting a video of her daughter sporting what some social media users have deemed as inappropriate clothing for a girl her age.
On Wednesday, the former "Teen Mom" star shared a clip on TikTok of her 12-year-old daughter, Sophia, wearing a black crop top and dark ripped jeans with dyed red hair.
Aitous Nick Rasouli, the hairstylist behind the preteen's new look, also shared a video on Instagram of Sophia getting her hair dyed.
While Sophia commented on Rasouli's post that he was her "fav" for coloring her hair, the "16 and Pregnant" alum's fans were not impressed and questioned her parenting skills.
"I can’t help but think Farrah is encouraging her to act/dress much older than she is. She is 12 years old," one Reddit user wrote.
Another wrote, "Well, I was the same when I was 12, but my dad would never let me the leave the house with showing skin lol."
"Why is she dressed like that at 12? I don't see an issue with the hair, but the clothes are a little much," one TikTok user commented.
"It's not even the hair that I care about. She's like 12. Why is she dressing that way," another wrote.
However, others defended Abraham, saying they saw nothing wrong with Sophia's hair and outfit.
"I think Farrah is a great mother and Sophia will be a strong independent woman," a fan commented.
"Looks great, I can't believe how much she looks like her dad. I've watched you all since the beginning, and despite what everyone says, Farrah good job!" the user wrote.
"She's beautiful and looks 12! Stop with the hate comments," another commented.
One Reddit user urged everyone to stop judging Sophia, saying the preteen has her own style.
"Hasn't anyone learned that people get to wear whatever they want yet? It's no one's responsibility to critique how anyone else feels comfortable going about their day, good or bad," they commented. "I just feel that now we're in this state of acceptance and judging someone, especially a preteen, is incredibly toxic and really just old-fashioned. Further, to go out of your way to type and post your negative opinion is just, wow...so unnecessary."
Abraham welcomed Sophia in February 2009, less than two months after her late high school boyfriend and the girl's father, Derek Underwood, was killed in a car accident.
Last year, Abraham was also slammed by netizens over her outfit in a TikTok she posted with Sophia. In the clip, the mother and daughter sported matching outfits, but the former did not wear her top and only tied it around her neck, causing some social media users to express disapproval in the comments.
"Why must you take off your shirt? That little girl is watching every move you make. This video could have been cute had you just worn the shirt. There is a time and a place for that," one person commented in the post.
In 2019, Abraham shared a 10-year challenge photo with her daughter, saying she’s "truly the luckiest" to be Sophia's mom.
"I have known this amazing, wonderful, smart, talented, beautiful & God-loving child for 10 years. @sophialabraham has helped me be the best me," she wrote on Instagram.
