When designer Oscar de la Renta supposedly coined the term fashion victim, he may never have thought that how otherwise it could apply to even his models walking the ramp.
A fashion victim is one who falls into the trap of style, which is dominated by faddishness and materialism.
Gianni Versace, founder of Italian fashion company Versace, once said: When a woman alters her look too much from season to season, she becomes a fashion victim.
But what about those women who walk the ramps dressed in some absolutely weird creations? With their faces packed with props, necks made stiff, and sometimes even their eyes shut, aren't they victims of fashion world, indeed?
Check out the slideshow presenting some of the ramp walks from around the world and let us know if these models are fashion victims.
