The FBI's Newark office, which is investigating the home shooting of Judge Esther Salas, tied the gunman Wednesday to the murder of Marc Angelucci in California. Roy Den Hollander, an antifeminist lawyer who shot himself in an apparent suicide this week, is the suspected gunman who on Sunday allegedly shot and killed Salas’ 20-year-old son, as well as wounding Salas' husband in the shooting.

"We are now engaged with the San Bernardino California Sheriff’s Office and have evidence linking the murder of Marc Angelucci to FBI Newark subject Roy Den Hollander," a statement from the FBI said. "This investigation is ongoing."

Roughly 24 hours after Sunday's shooting, authorities found Den Hollander's body in Liberty, New York. Federal investigators believe the weapon at the scene, a Walther .380 caliber handgun, was used in the New Jersey shooting. The gun was also possibly used in the July 11 murder of Angelucci.

Authorities said a packet near Den Hollander’s body was likely intended for Salas and may have contained information about Angelucci’s murder. The shooter in both cases was reportedly wearing a FedEx uniform.

Angelucci, 52, was the vice president of the National Coalition for Men (NCFM).

Den Hollander wrote vitriolic comments about women on his website and had insulted Salas as a “lazy and incompetent Latina judge appointed by Obama.” In December 2018, he had a 90-minute hearing before Salas in Newark Federal Court over a case involving the Selective Service.
