Throw on your bathing suit and grab a life vest. “Fear The Walking Dead” is hitting the open water when the AMC companion series to “The Walking Dead” returns on April 10 for its second season.
The Season 2 premiere is only a couple of weeks away, and the network has released the synopsis for the first installment. The episode 1 description is short and sweet, but it does reveal what fans can expect to see unfold.
“Our families flee a burning Los Angeles on Strand’s [Colman Domingo] yacht,” the synopsis teases.
It’s a bold move boarding Strand’s yacht, especially since they don’t know much about him. The episode description adds that he’ll remain mysterious. However, the survivors have other things to worry about because they’ll encounter “danger at sea.”
When viewers last left off in the Season 1 finale, the new group of survivors had to flee the camp that the National Guard set up. After rescuing Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez), Nick (Frank Dillane) and Strand from a containment center, the crew made their way to Strand’s Los Angeles mansion. It was there that Strand revealed that there was hope for survival. Right off shore is his large and luxurious yacht, affectionately named Abigail.
But the Season 1 finale didn’t end on a note of hope. Travis was forced to kill his ex-wife after Liza exposed a bite mark on her side.
“Fear the Walking Dead” fans will have to see where the series goes from there. Season 2 premieres on AMC Sunday, April 10 at 9 p.m. EDT. Check out photos from Season 2, episode 1 below:
