‘Feud: Charles And Diana’: Who Will Play Princess Diana In Season 2 Of Ryan Murphy’s FX Series?
In February, FX announced that Ryan Murphy’s latest series, “Feud” would be getting a second season, and the show would focus on the contentious relationship between Prince Charles and Princess Diana. This news has left fans curious about casting.
No official announcements have been made about the upcoming show’s cast , but it’s clear Murphy’s working hard to find the right actors and actresses to play the royals. In an interview with People , he said he was working with Jon Robin Baitz and Ned Martel on the script, only saying it would be “super juicy.” They haven’t given too much thought to who will play Princess Diana, but Murphy says many are vying for the chance.

“I don’t know,” he said when asked who he could imagine playing the beloved royal. “It’s become sort of a Scarlett O’Hara part. A lot of people want to be Diana, and we’re not doing a very sympathetic portrayal of her. I don’t know ... I don’t know where we’re going to land.”
Sarah Paulson, whom fans hope will appear in “Feud” Season 2, has been vocal about her interest in the show. In fact, she told ET Online that she has a dream role. Although some have said she’d be a good fit for the role of Princess Diana, Paulson, 42, has another idea.
“I wanna play the Queen Mother!” she said during a PaleyFest panel. “I don’t think [Murphy’s] gonna let me do that. That might be a bridge too far. He might also be like, ‘Oh, lady...no!’ I could play one of the corgis.”
Despite Paulson’s comments, some fans think she’s already been cast as Princess Diana. During the same panel, “American Horror Story” Season 6 co-star Kathy Bates referred to her as “the people’s princess.” To some fans, this was a sign that the decision had been made.
Very little about “Feud” Season 2 has been revealed at this time. The network confirmed that the show was renewed days before the Season 1 premiere. “Feud: Charles and Diana” will premiere in 2018 with a total of 10 episodes.
