Fifth Harmony Alum Camila Cabello Confirms 2018 Album Release Date
Camila Cabello’s debut solo album officially has a release date.
Fans of the “Havana” singer will be able to have the self-titled album come Jan. 12, 2018, and those that pre-order it come this Thursday will receive two new songs immediately.
The former Fifth Harmony member shared the news to her followers on Instagram on Tuesday, along with the album cover.
“To my Camilizers.... my debut album is finally finished. Now I’m trying to steady my heartbeat,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you for being so patient with me this year, I can’t wait for you to hear what has been the soundtrack to the past year of my life... all of these songs have special memories behind them, and I’m not gonna lie, it feels emotional letting them go, feels like the end of a chapter.”
She continued: “I decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended. It started with somebody else’s story, it ended with me finding my way back to myself.”
Along with the album title, cover art and background story on why she’s made some changes to the album, Cabello also revealed that the pre-order for the Jan. 12 album is this Thursday and that fans who buy it during the pre-sale phase will get a couple surprises.
Those surprises come in the form of two new tracks, which will be immediately available to fans who pre-order the album. One is called “Never Be the Same,” while the second is titled “Real Friends.”
Fans have been waiting for this news ever since Cabello announced last year that she was leaving Fifth Harmony after years of performing and recording together.
Even more recently, Cabello listeners have been clamoring for album information as the starlet teased at the Billboard Women in Music event last week that the album pre-order would be up “super soon.”
This little tidbit left many wondering just what that meant and how soon was “super soon.” Now we all know that she truly did mean what she said, as the pre-order is days away and the album is only a little over a month away.
Cabello’s debut album “Camila” is available to pre-order on Thursday.
