'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie News: Rita Ora Teases 'Amazing Shock' After Poster's Reveal [PHOTO]
Rita Ora might not have a big part in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, but apparently she has a big shocker to share. The UK singer stopped by MTV News to share some details about the highly anticipated film and also to dish about her burgeoning music career.
The beautiful starlet is slated to play Grey’s sister Mia and dangled a few details about the film -- not enough to give too much away, but certainly enough to pique some interest. She said the movie’s release is "gonna be the biggest and most amazing shock ever" and she's "so excited" about it.
Ora made a brief appearance in “Fast & Furious 6" but her “Fifty Shades” role has more lines, reports MTV News. "Oh, I was nervous because it was the first time I ever did a movie with words," Ora said at the Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch on Saturday, according to MTV News. "But it was so nice. The director, Sam [Taylor-Johnson], she was incredible, so it was all love."
The film’s release date was pushed back a few months after the movie’s leading actor dropped out of the movie. Jamie Dornan was picked up soon after, getting praise from many “Fifty Shades” fans.
But an exciting release isn’t the only thing fans had to look forward to this weekend. Another part of the “Fifty Shade of Grey” movie is available for fan consumption, and this one had everyone’s favorite masochistic protagonist as the main feature. The first official poster for the film adaptation of E L James’s bestselling erotic trilogy has been released, courtesy of Universal Studios.
In the poster, Seattle billionaire Christian Grey (who is played by Dornan) is staring out of his office floor-to-ceiling windows at the Seattle skyline, including the famous Space Needle. "Mr. Grey will see you now," the poster reads.
The line is a reference to James’s first novel, in which Grey meets his soon-to-be concubine Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson. The college student interviews the 27-year-old for one of her friends, and inevitability engages in a S&M relationship that turns to love.
Fans of James’s series have had an insatiable appetite for the movie and many are looking forward to its 2015 Valentine’s Day release date. Johnson, 24, and Dornan, 31, have been filming the movie in Vancouver, Canada, for the last few months.
